This is a remote position.
Are you a problem solver with expertise in computational geometry and a passion for tackling complex challenges? Do you thrive on building innovative solutions in the world of 2D and 3D geometry? If so, we’d love to hear from you! This is a full-time, home-based position, offering you the chance to work with a talented team of professionals from around the globe.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Develop and implement cutting-edge algorithms for 2D/3D geometry and computational geometry problems.
- Work on geometry-related aspects of CAD software development, including designing new features and optimizing performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and product managers, to create robust and scalable solutions.
- Analyze requirements and provide innovative solutions for complex geometric modeling tasks.
- Optimize and debug geometry algorithms for efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to research and development efforts in the field of computational geometry and algorithm design.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on geometry-related challenges.
The skills and traits we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in 2D/3D geometry algorithms, computational geometry, and numerical methods.
- Experience in CAD software development or related fields is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Python, or similar, with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Familiarity with geometry libraries (e.g., CGAL, Open CASCADE, or similar) is a strong plus.
- Experience with cross-platform development tools and frameworks such as Qt, CMake, and scripting (e.g., Bash).
- Solid understanding of mathematical principles behind geometry modeling and transformations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
