We are currently seeking a qualified Regional Sales Manager to work in Mexico modality 3 days a week in the office, Hybrid.
Location: Mexico, CDMX, Hybrid.
Role:
Champion the delivery and achievement of the annual and 90-day squad outcomes: Financial (sales, market share, A/R), Innovation and Customer Satisfaction, collaborate with the experts in the unit supporting the squad for promotion, go-to-market and technical advice, support the Business Unit Lead in coaching the Territory Managers to deliver the highest impact outcomes, key point of contact for the squad.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and supervise the implementation of sales plans, activities, and programs, and manage the day-to-day activities of the area sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for the assigned area.
- Negotiate and execute sales deals with distributors and key retailers.
- Prepare rolling sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenues, costs and collections against forecasts to identify problem areas; and adapt procedures or re-allocate resources to improve the overall results.
- Propose and assess new retailers and dealers together with the Controller or Business Analyst; select and assign Sales Officers in line with the budgeted resources.
- Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for the assigned area.
- Report sales activities, including sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activities (i.e. price, stock, promotion and distribution) to Head of Sales and other functions so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the area sales team to ensure that the Sales strategy and activities are implemented effectively and within established budgets, and comply with all relevant regulations, laws and industry standards; coach sales managers and promoters on the technical aspects of the organization's products, on marketing campaigns and sales promotions, and on sales techniques, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
- Be a catalyst that removes roadblocks / bureaucracy to foster collaboration and learning across teams.
- Coach the squad and provide skill-building opportunities needed to create value for customers and leverage business results and empower teams with clear ownership, supporting them to stop non-value-added activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: University degree, preferably in agronomy or seeds.
- Work Experience: at least 5 years of managerial responsibilities in sales or marketing.
- Good understanding of agriculture practices and industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Good analytical and creative thinking with sound business acumen.
- Excellent leadership with ability to motivate a team.
- Moderate skills in English as advantage, and Spanish.
Salary & Compensation:
$135,000 and $143,000/year.
