In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
As a Quality Engineer at Emerson, you will have the outstanding opportunity to drive world-class quality initiatives and ensure magnificent execution of our processes. You will play a crucial role in supervising the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, coordinating with Engineers and Manufacturing supervisors to solve technical problems effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing reports and analyzing trends of non-compliant materials, scrap, and customer complaints to generate corrective and preventive actions that eliminate resulting problems.
- Holding informative meetings with Manufacturing department engineers and personnel to present analysis results of non-conforming materials and embraced corrective actions.
- Conducting receipt, in-process, and final inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Establishing the use of Emerson BP documentation and transferring, selecting, and controlling measuring instruments.
- Integrating quality into the process using Lean techniques to detect, stop, and eliminate issues.
- Collaborating with Business Units to successfully conduct BP.
- Reviewing engineering changes to make vital adjustments in production, ensuring quality supervision.
- Providing provisions on the use and/or destination of non-conforming internal or external materials.
- Staying up to date on quality standards and customer specifications.
- Following up on quality assurance regarding the quality system and supervising subordinate personnel, verifying their work.
- Managing NC'S (Nonconformities), CAR'S (Corrective Action Request) reports, and operation sheets within the system.
- Ensuring compliance with procedures, standards, and specifications in the quality management system related to your position.
- Adhering to safety laws applicable in the company.
- Performing internal process audits of departments as established in the annual program.
- Attending and participating in quality system review meetings.
- Assisting in the calibration/verification processes of test equipment.
- Preparing weekly reports of quality results in the areas of your responsibility.
- Participating in continuous product quality improvement programs.
- Serving as an instructor in training programs for Quality department staff.
- Assisting in the introduction of new products to the plant to guarantee compliance with quality standards.
- Establishing corrective actions as a result of customer complaints.
- Participating in SIX Sigma projects either as a "Green belt" or as a team member.
- Visiting external suppliers to evaluate their quality system.
- Reviewing customer specifications to ensure compliance.
- Performing other activities assigned by your Direct Manager.

- Clarifying Quality standards to your work team.
- Analyzing non-conformities that impact the internal PPM indicator or the client.
- Coordinating internal and external quality audits.
- Maintaining clear and open communication with General and Corporate Management to ensure departmental activities align with business plans.
- Maintaining performance standards for operations under your charge, supervising results, and advising General Management of status, challenges, achievements, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating on company development.
- Ensuring a safe work environment in your department by preventing work-related accidents and illnesses, and ensuring accurate personal safety equipment is used.
- Supervising department activities to promote coordination of projects and responsibilities with affected departments to retain control over costs and times.
- Responding to reports or complaints from employees.
- Handling relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Reporting to Human Resources on employees who do not perform satisfactorily, initiating improvement processes and requesting assistance.
