Job Description

M/PPV-VDS1 is responsible for the Purchasing management project of the division Vehicle Motion.

Project Manager and interface for Division / Business Unit and Material field Purchasing for strategic and operative topics.

Position is responsible for the efficient release of purchased parts in the region, in coordination with new product launches. Ensure the achievement of project goals (cost, quality, deadlines, budget and capacity). Purchasing interface to the Business Units and change management for life of product.

Specific Duties

1. Interface between Corporate Purchasing and the Business unit
2. Responsible for MAT cost and capacity at product level
3. Responsible for request of quotation of new projects, saving projects, and following tools
4. Managing of Engineering Changes affecting purchased components
5. Product technical interface to suppliers
6. Project management in the field of external procurement for every new project (platform, variants, applications) worldwide
7. Responsibility for achieving project goals (expenses, quality, scheduled dates, budget)
8. Participation in the SE-Team, coordination of SE-Work with suppliers
9. Performing technical supplier discussions
10. Interface with purchasing organization for strategic and operative topics
11. Supervision of series products (Engineering Change Management)
12. Establish second suppliers
13. Responsibility for ratio-projects and change management

Qualifications

1. Mechanical or Industrial Engineer
2. Project Management
3. Interpretation of technical drawings of engineering areas
4. Experience in Automotive Industry
5. Expertise in Production processes
6. Knowledge in Automotive quality
7. Tools and purchasing processes
