Project Manager - Aftermarket

The Aftermarket Business Unity is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team to manage development and change management projects of varying size and complexity across multiple product families and brands (e.g. SchraderTPMS, PrecoRadar, Sensata pressure and temperature sensors).

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. The Project Manager will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project.

General Responsibilities

1. Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
2. Defines project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
3. Develops comprehensive project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and status reports
4. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
5. Ensure resource availability and allocation
6. Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
7. Make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
8. Regularly communicates and presents project schedules and statuses
9. Report and escalate to management as needed
10. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
11. Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Experience / Qualifications

1. A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
2. Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
3. Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
4. Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
5. Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
6. Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
8. Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

The Aftermarket Project Manager is part of a global team, and reports into the Director of Product & Project Management, Global Aftermarket.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

1. Minimum of 5 years of Project/Program Manager experience leading new product development and change management projects
2. Technical background and/or education
3. Understanding the automotive/ heavy vehicle OE and/or Aftermarket is a must
4. Prior experience or working knowledge of electronic vehicle controls, which may include sensors or cameras, is a plus
5. Proven track record of successful product launches and on-time, on-budget project execution
6. Ability to communicate effectively to leadership
7. Experience working with a global team
8. Fluent in English (other languages a plus)
