Visión general

Part of the Industrial Design team, you are the creative force behind our products. You design new solutions that are not only visually appealing but also functional, sustainable and aligned with market demands. With a key focus on using consumer insights, your team will create innovative visual concepts for new products and improve existing ones, considering factors like form, function, ergonomics, and user interaction.

- Lead Engineering design for mid to large sized new product development projects.

- Drive creation of schedules for engineering design and validation timing for NPD projects.

- Create new product designs including technical design, prototyping, testing, and tooling design.

- Design 3D models in order to achieve the product intent with design for manufacturing, working in collaboration with Industrial Design, Manufacturing, and Suppliers.

- Test and validate ceramic samples by conducting hydraulic tests, providing detailed reports, and defining the proper component settings.

- Create and maintain detailed dimensional drawings, bill of materials (BOM) drawings, and any required technical communication documents.

- ECR/ECN Control - Maintain up-to-date drawings and 3D models with latest revision changes using WindChill PDM system.

- Provide technical support and problem solving alongside with Operation teams and suppliers associated to product design and process related issues.

- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews, Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

- Provide and execute design schedules in collaboration with cross functional teams.

- Work effectively in a team environment.

- Mentors, guides and supports less experienced team members.

Responsabilidades

The world’s leading bath and kitchen manufacturer is seeking a CAD Design Engineer on our growing Ceramic Technical Design team. You will be directly responsible for the 3D CAD design of new products and components. This hands-on role includes conducting performance tests, validation processes, and root cause analysis (RCA). Additionally, you will provide on-site support to the manufacturing team to ensure seamless production and troubleshoot any design-related issues. Also, working closely with cross functional teams to bring breakthrough innovations and best-in-class ceramic products to the Market, ensuring design intent, functionality and manufacturability. The position necessitates a self-motivated, out of the box thinking. Strong time management and communication skills are required to provide the timing and schedules required to bring new products to market.

Requisitios

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 6 or more years of professional experience working in a related position
  • Advance surfacing skills to create complex geometries using top down & master modeling design techniques
  • Experience in the design of casted parts, plastic injection molded & thermoformed parts
  • Experience with GD&T, able to perform stack up tolerance analysis
  • Experience using WindChill PDM system
  • Experience with ceramics is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication & organizational skills
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, who works independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to travel (international/local)
  • Fluency in conversational English

Hiring Range

The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $xx,xxx- $xx,xxx annually. (Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
Other Compensation (if applicable): This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan.
