We are looking to hire a Launch Engineer to join our team at San Luis Potosi.

What you can look forward to as Launch Engineer:

1. Internal reporting and escalation: reports and escalates to program manager and Hiring Manager.
2. Coordinates the tasks for the launch phase of the plant’s involved departments (Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing).
3. Monitors and coordinates the plant-related tasks within the plant under consideration of the overall project scope.
4. Shares know-how in the launch phase from the plant with the project team.
5. Reports status and measures both to PM and within the defined Plant Communication structure to ensure clear awareness of Plant project deliverables, gaps and necessary actions in the launch phase.
6. Supports risk assessment in regards to plant schedules, plant resources, cost and timelines given from the project management.
7. Ensure pre-series builds in launch phase.
8. Ensure production readiness for pre-series and SOP according to the project planning.
9. Coordination of different running projects and project tasks between the plant and the related program managers / project teams (purchasing, quality, manufacturing, etc.).

Your Profile as Launch Engineer:

1. Proficient English is a must (this position will be traveling up to 50% of the time to local and international facilities).
2. 5 years of experience within the automotive environment.
3. 2 years of experience as a Launch Engineer is a must.
4. Background in manufacturing is a must.
5. Experience with Microsoft Project.
6. Nice to have: AutoCAD.
7. MS Office proficient (Excel proficient).
8. Nice to have experience with BMW and Stellantis (in New Launches).
