The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage the manufacturing processes, methods, and equipment designed to ensure continuous production of advanced ceramic and composite materials that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. Ensure that these manufacturing processes, methods, and equipment meet or exceed the requirements of our ISO quality certifications and are consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals. Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to a team of process engineers and technicians. Define roles and responsibilities, communicate expectations, and hold direct reports accountable.
Essential Functions:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Process Engineering team, acting as the liaison for the team to the Management Team (Ops, Finance, HR, etc.), prioritizing activities to sustain high performance and achievement of business goals.
- Work collaboratively to provide long term vision for the San Juan del Rio Engineering function aligning internal needs and external requirements.
- Lead cross functional teams and projects focusing on continuous improvement.
- Develop and lead Capital Expenditure projects in areas including: mixing, molding, baking, impregnation and sinter.
- Present data and reports using various formats and technologies (i.e. PowerPoint, Minitab, Excel, Skype, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Material Science or Engineering is desired and required.
- Must be fully bilingual (English / Spanish) with the ability to speak at an intermediate level.
- Minimum 5 years related experience is required.
- Supervisory/management experience is required.
- Prior experience working with manufacturing processes that utilize raw material handling, mixing, molding, and high temperature baking equipment (mixers, presses, ovens, etc.) is required.
- Basic understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001/AS 9100 is required.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques is desired.
- Experience with developing/documenting procedures is required.
- Computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of sitting and using a computer for the majority of an 8-hour workday.
