Important IT company at the Latin American level is seeking a:
PLC Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for automation and material handling systems.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot systems for smooth operation.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize system performance.
- Modify and enhance existing PLC programs.
- Provide on-site and remote system support.
- Maintain system documentation and backups.
- Ensure safety standards and industry regulations compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Proficient in ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming.
- Robotics, motion control, and conveyor systems experience is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Technical Expertise
- Honeywell Intelligrated automation & material handling systems - Expert
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) - Expert
- HMI/SCADA configuration and maintenance - Advanced
- Electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams (AutoCAD Electrical) - Advanced
Control Systems & Integration
- Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.) - Advanced
- Power distribution, motor controls, and VFDs - Advanced
- System integration, testing, and commissioning - Advanced
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting
- Diagnostics, maintenance, and downtime minimization - Expert
Industry Standards & Compliance
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), UL standards, safety regulations - Intermediate
Preferred Skills
- Robotics & vision systems, WES/WCS knowledge, project management - Intermediate
ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH ESSENTIAL (Will be evaluated).
Job Type: Remote.
Work Location: Mexico City or Chihuahua.
Duration: 1 year Contract (possibility to be extended).
Salary: According to experience.
