Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to architect, optimize, and support our enterprise communications platforms, including TIBCO, Apache Kafka, ECG and IBM MQ. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, scalability, and security in our hybrid cloud environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive best practices in event-driven architecture and messaging.

Your Impact

As Platform Engineer - Streaming and Innovation your scope would consist of:

1. Architect, build, and manage Kafka, TIBCO EMS, IBM MQ, and ECG to support enterprise messaging and event streaming.
2. Design real-time and batch data pipelines using Kafka Streams, TIBCO, and MQ.
3. Optimize message processing, latency, throughput, and system resilience.
4. Implement secure messaging protocols, authentication, and data encryption in compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
5. Leverage Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation and deployment.
6. Implement real-time monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
7. Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to support seamless integrations.
8. Lead the migration and modernization of platforms, moving applications and pipelines to Azure-based solutions.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Management, or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology

• Strong hands-on experience with Kafka clusters, Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, and KSQL.

• In-depth knowledge of IBM MQ, TIBCO EMS, and enterprise messaging patterns.

• 2+ years of Azure, AWS and Cloud technologies is preferred.

• Experience deploying messaging solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Terraform, and Helm.

• CI/CD pipeline development with Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes.

• Expertise in REST, SOAP, WebSockets, MQTT, and TCP/IP networking.

• Experience in data platform engineering, with a focus on cloud transformation and modernization.

• Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure DevOps (ADO).

• Exposure with Istio, Linkerd, or Consul for service-to-service communication.

• Exposure to API Gateway solutions (Apigee, Kong, IBM API Connect).
