The Production Planner is responsible for defining the daily, weekly, and monthly production plan and evaluating all the variables in the process to ensure that production objectives are achieved. The production plans typically have a time horizon of about 0-13 weeks and 1-15 months.
This job contributes to Nutreco’s success by ensuring a high level of competence within the Supply area and ensuring a smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations as an integrated part of the SC process. The process of production planning aims to draw up, monitor, and alter an optimal production plan for the assigned part of the supply network based on the consolidated demand plans, taking into consideration predefined service level agreements, inventory levels, and planning parameters to realize the requested performance at the lowest possible cost.
The Production Planner plays a crucial role as a liaison between Demand Planning, who is the commercial liaison, and Operations.

The Production Planner combines various information from sales, supply chain, procurement, and operations to properly plan the products that need to be produced.
