Key Responsibilities

• The role involves executing production according to company recipes and picture presentation, following the daily production schedule and seeking guidance from the Chief Pastry Chef or their representative.
• The employee must maintain high quality standards and handle materials and goods with care, demonstrating a commitment to waste elimination.
• They also work on developing skills and knowledge of equipment, assisting and training in the pastry and bakery operation, and adhering to applicable policies and procedures.
• The employee must follow timekeeping rules, create accurate MLC Hours of Rest records, and comply with all Environmental Policies (HESS-MS).
• They must demonstrate commitment to the company's values, beliefs, goals, and initiatives, acting as a company representative and presenting a positive image of Princess Cruises to guests, officers, and crew.
• The employee maintains professional, effective, and motivated working relationships, considering differences in cultures, backgrounds, and individual personalities.
• In addition to the Key Result Areas and performance items listed in this role description, the employee also performs any other duties as assigned by management.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Ideally, the candidate would have completed basic education in pastry/bakery arts.
• It would be beneficial for the candidate to have at least two to three years of pastry experience, with at least one year of experience as Commis Pastry.
• The candidate should have recent experience in high-volume pastry production.
• It would be advantageous for the candidate to have a general understanding of U.S.P.H.S. regulations and principles.
• The candidate should be able to command the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• The candidate should have the motivation to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities, outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality along with commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
