Online Content Editor - LATAM

As an Online Content Editor - LATAM on the Taboola News team in Mexico, you’ll play a vital role in focusing on content intended for our Latin America markets, specifically focusing on US Spanish, Peru, Ecuador and Latam general.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• To be well-versed in the realm of news, entertainment, politics, and popular culture, preferably an experienced journalist or editor from a digital media organization that focuses on a largely Latin American audience.
• Highly proficient in Spanish, fluent in English (a third language is an advantage).
• Technologically savvy.
• Able to work independently, with clear goals and little supervision.
• Deep familiarity with culture and current affairs in Latin America, specifically in the markets mentioned above.
• Previous experience as a news editor, work in news agencies, reporting, a strong plus.
• The position is a freelance for a period of 6 months initially with the option of extension.
• You must be able to work from home effectively, using your own computer.

How you’ll make an impact:

As an Online Content Editor - LATAM, you’ll bring value by:

• Reviewing news and articles, and selecting items to include in our content experiences offered to end users, working approximately 40 hours/week. Weekly schedules can be flexible in terms of hours and location, but the position does require daily attention, Monday - Friday.
• Selecting articles to ensure that our content experiences offered to end users complies with the following guidelines:
• Content policy.
• Legal requirements.
• Recency.
• Relevance.
• Variety.
• Vertical/category diversity.
• Diversity of sources.
