Responsibilities

The Opportunity

A Network Field Operations Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the network infrastructure of an organization. This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the stability and security of network systems. Specialists configure and install network hardware and software, perform routine maintenance, and upgrade network components to optimize performance. They collaborate with other IT professionals to develop and implement network policies and procedures, conduct network audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, they provide technical support to end-users, train staff on network troubleshooting, and assist in disaster recovery planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of network protocols and management systems, are essential for success in this role.

Your Impact

  1. Network Support: Provide support for Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless environments. Ensure reliable and secure network connectivity across multiple field sites. Manage and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  2. Network Security: Ensure network security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats. Participate in audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  3. Collaboration: Collaborate with field site teams to understand their network issues and supply solutions. Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of network services.
  4. Performance Optimization: Conduct regular network performance assessments and optimizations to ensure efficient operation. Monitor network traffic and usage patterns to identify and address potential issues.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of network infrastructure and support activities.
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate network policies and standards. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  7. Vendor Management: Engage with vendors for hardware and software procurement and support. Evaluate vendor proposals and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality solutions.

Qualifications

¿Who Are We Looking For?

  1. Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in network support, specifically with Cisco products. 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing network topologies.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficient in deploying and supporting WAN, LAN, and Wireless LAN services. Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancers, and DNS/DHCP services. Experience with Cisco network management tools and software.
  3. Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). ITIL certification is a plus.
  4. Non-Technical Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple geographies. Strong communication and presentation skills.
