Introduction
The Delivery Network Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of network solutions that leverage Cisco products and technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, network engineers, and customers, to deliver complex network infrastructures that align with business goals and technical requirements. Your deep expertise in Cisco’s portfolio, including routing, switching, wireless, security, and cloud solutions, will be essential in delivering world-class network solutions.
Your role and responsibilities
Design and Architect Cisco Network Solutions:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance network architectures using Cisco products (e.g., Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, ISR, ASA, and SD-WAN).
Create detailed network blueprints, technical specifications, and architecture diagrams.
Develop network strategies that align with client requirements, security policies, and business objectives.
Implementation and Delivery:
Oversee the deployment of Cisco network solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Lead the technical delivery and integration of solutions, including on-site installation and configuration of Cisco network equipment.
Coordinate with client teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Technical Leadership and Consultation:
Provide expert guidance on Cisco technologies, including design best practices, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical consultations, supporting both internal teams and clients.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training for staff and clients on Cisco network technologies.
Optimization and Support:
Continuously assess the performance of delivered network solutions, ensuring they meet client expectations and optimize performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, utilizing Cisco troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
Recommend and implement improvements to existing network infrastructure based on performance analytics.
Collaboration and Documentation:
Work with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and milestones.
Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures for ongoing maintenance and future reference.
Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate project progress and technical solutions to clients and leadership.
Required technical and professional expertise
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Certifications:
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) - Required.
Splunk, ThousandEyes certifications - Preferred.
Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) - Preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network architecture and delivery with hands-on experience in Cisco technologies.
Strong experience with Cisco routing, switching, security, wireless, and SD-WAN solutions.
Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale network projects from design through deployment.
Skills:
Deep knowledge of Cisco products, including but not limited to Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, ISR, ASA, and SD-WAN.
Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, QoS).
Expertise in cloud networking solutions and network automation is a plus.
Proven ability to design secure, high-performance networks.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Experience with Cisco DNA, ACI, or SD-Access.
Experience with Cisco Security solutions
Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python).
Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud networks.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
