The Role

As our Middle School Science Teacher, you’ll be responsible for teaching science in English using the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum. Your mission? To develop students' scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills while covering fascinating topics in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Sciences.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Craft engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and keep our 7th graders on their toes!
• Inspire a love for science by incorporating real-world examples, hands-on experiments, and interactive projects.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages questions, collaboration, and discovery.
• Assess student understanding through creative assignments and assessments that focus on critical thinking.
• Communicate regularly with parents and create a community of support for our students.

Who You Are

We're looking for a super friendly and knowledgeable teacher with at least 2 years of experience under your belt. If you’re as passionate about teaching science as we are, here are a few other qualities we'd love for you to have:

• Native or Bilingual English: You’ve got the language skills to make science accessible and thrilling!
• Strong background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Sciences. You may even have a few experiments up your sleeve!
• A love for collaboration and a team player spirit—whether it’s bouncing ideas off your colleagues or creating interdisciplinary projects, you bring the good vibes!
• A genuine passion for engaging students and helping them navigate the wonderful world of science!

Requirements:

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable 7th Grade Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will teach science in English using the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, focusing on developing students' scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

The teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, and physics, encouraging students to apply the scientific method and develop a deeper understanding of natural phenomena.

Candidates must have experience with hands-on experiments, formative assessment, and be committed to fostering curiosity and collaboration in the classroom.

A degree in Science or Education and fluency in English are required. Prior experience with the Cambridge Curriculum is preferred.

Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Sciences.
