Master Scheduler (AR)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Master Scheduler to develop and manage our production schedules to align with customer demands, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience in EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services), particularly in SMT (Surface Mount Technology), to optimize production operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel, project/factory scheduling software, have experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), and thrive in regulated environments (medical devices or automotive).

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain the factory master production schedule (MPS).
2. Analyze manufacturing capacity, including labor, equipment, and shift structures.
3. Build and manage Excel-based models to simulate manufacturing processes.
4. Track performance metrics like OTD and backlogs and adjust schedules as needed.
5. Collaborate with supply chain, purchasing, and inventory teams.
6. Align production with demand forecasts through SIOP/MPS processes.
7. Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on schedule adherence and capacity.
8. Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies for on-time delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in factory production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and project/factory scheduling software.
4. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, routings, and work orders.
6. Experience in EMS environments, particularly SMT.
7. Fluency in English (written and spoken).
