We are looking for a RD Marketing Solutions Lead who has the ability to build a compelling disease and brand narrative, optimizing the product life cycle from launch, positioning, growing, and through loss of exclusivity, and creating impactful omnichannel campaigns designed to raise awareness, accelerate early diagnosis, support HCPs and patients, and drive access and adoption. Based in México.


About the role

The Rare Disease Marketing Solutions Lead is accountable for developing and executing a differentiated, science-based marketing strategy for an orphan drug portfolio in Mexico, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of the rare disease ecosystem. This role requires a strong understanding of medical marketing, communication environment, and the regulatory framework for rare diseases in Mexico.

What you’ll do

  1. Optimize the product life cycle, including launch, growth, maturity, and loss of exclusivity phases.
  2. Formulate an Integrated Strategic Plan with specific schedules, budgets, and assignments for stakeholders, all in alignment with the global strategy.
  3. Create forecasts, budgets, and monthly updates, while ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources.
  4. Lead the execution and take ownership of the Rare Disease portfolio.
  5. Cultivate increased collaboration among internal teams to align them toward generating value together.
  6. Lead by example, fostering a culture of adherence to regulations and standards.
  7. Assume responsibility for implementing a comprehensive Integrated Strategic Plan across various ecosystems that may exist within the country.
  8. Partner with Medical Affairs to co-develop medical content, data-driven messaging, and KOL engagement strategies.
  9. Lead the agency briefing process, promotional material development, and approval flow in accordance with regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  10. Manage budget planning and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of investment and maximized return.
  11. Translate the strategy into actionable tactics for implementation, effectively communicate these tactics, assign responsibilities to members of cross-functional teams, and oversee interactions with the Customer Facing Team.
  12. Motivate the Customer Facing Team to align with the strategy and Integrated Strategic Plan, pinpointing the overarching actions required from the sales force.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills

  1. +5 years of experience in pharmaceutical senior marketing manager, ideally with 2+ years in Rare Diseases or Specialty Care.
  2. Preferred previous experience like Sales Representative.
  3. Knowledge of government market (IMSS, ISSSTE).
  4. Demonstrated skills in healthcare related Sales, Marketing, Market Access or knowledge.
  5. Market expertise in health systems (specialized medical groups and integrated delivery networks) and accountable care organizations.
  6. Market knowledge in Private and Public Sector, as well as with IMS, ATV, DDD; formulary process inclusion to IMSS, ISSSTE, Seguro Popular, PEMEX, SEDENA, etc. (OPD´s).
