Manufacturing Manager

The Manufacturing Manager will oversee the transfer of manufacturing lines, new product introductions, and the overall management of our aerospace manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, exceptional leadership skills, and experience in a unionized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and execute manufacturing line transfers, particularly from the US to Mexico, with a focus on aerospace products.
2. Lead new product line startups, ensuring effective high-level planning and execution.
3. Apply strong leadership and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in aerospace manufacturing.
4. Implement Lean manufacturing principles, visual management, and P.F.M.E.A. techniques.
5. Utilize digital tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, and Oracle to enhance productivity.
6. Communicate effectively in both Spanish and English, fostering a collaborative environment.
7. Navigate and manage operations within a unionized Mexican workforce.
8. Travel is required to support program management in transfers and NPI, including financial oversight.

Education & Skills:

1. 5 years + experience working on a similar position.
2. Engineering Bachelor Degree.
3. Extensive experience in manufacturing line transfer and new product introduction (NPI) within the aerospace industry, preferably from the US to Mexico.
4. Metal Mechanic experience, mainly in 3-5 axis mill machining for complex configurations.
5. Experience and good understanding of tig welding, brazing and heat treatment.
6. Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in problem-solving and Lean manufacturing. Experience dealing with Tier 1 customers.
7. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Oracle, or similar software.
8. Excellent bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English.
9. Willingness to travel and manage program activities related to transfers and NPI, including financial aspects.
