Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for executing the day-to-day manufacturing assembly process, supporting tasks for the production lines in the facility, and accountability to meet goals on PQVC metrics. Compliance with safety guidelines and environmental requirements for manufacturing is essential. Manage NPI and EC aligned with APQP/PPAP.

What You Will Do:

  1. Ensure robust production process
  2. Create/update value stream documentation
  3. Conduct defect analysis
  4. Create safe standard work procedures
  5. Update assembly and testing machines to prevent/detect defects
  6. Analyze and update process workflow to optimize delivery velocity
  7. Establish measurements and metrics on consumables to lower production cost
  8. Collaborate to implement new products
  9. Participate in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes
  10. Maintain APQP system documentation
  11. Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the value stream
  12. Monitor equipment and process reliability; identify and address problem areas
  13. Provide coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas
  14. Provide engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities

Education Requirement:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field. Intermediate English required.

What Skills You Will Have:

Lean Manufacturing:

  • Functional knowledge of six sigma
  • VSM - layout (AutoCAD) installed capacity bottleneck
  • Knowledge of the management of basic tools for observing existing processes and identifying waste, including tack time/cycle time

Manufacturing Processes:

  • Advanced knowledge of APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, and MSA
  • Knowledge of the use of torque tools
  • Understanding and use of Pinpoint software to collect torque data by part number and series
  • Advanced knowledge of measurement equipment and able to perform CMM report interpretation
  • Knowledge of software systems: ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE
  • Functional knowledge to develop tooling/fixturing/templates (essential)

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures, and Policies:

  • Functional knowledge of engineering drawing reading and 1E spec interpretation
  • Functional knowledge of welding process (essential)
  • Advanced understanding of standard work instructions for operations

Additional Information:

  • This position will be in Santa Catarina HCC2 Facility, Nuevo Leon, MX
  • Availability is required depending on the support needs for the production line. Your work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30 am - 5 pm, subject to change from Monday to Saturday. Saturday's schedule is set from 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
  • International travel may be required up to 20% of the time (during production line implementation only)
  • Relocation is not available for this position
