Job Overview

The EHS is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health and safety programs that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

A Day In The Life

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and systems to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce risk.
2. Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses; implement corrective/preventive measures.
3. Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting.
4. Coordinate health and wellness programs, including occupational health services and ergonomics.
5. Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other applicable standards and certifications.
6. Monitor and report on key EHS performance indicators; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and corporate audits.
8. Lead emergency preparedness planning and response.
9. Organize EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
10. Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping of safety incidents, environmental monitoring, and training.
11. Promote a culture of safety engagement and accountability across all levels of the organization.

Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 10–12 years of experience in an EHS leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
