Amazon is looking for a smart, motivated, and self-driven leader to join our Global Direct Imports team for emerging countries as a Manager of Instock Management. The DI Instock Manager will be responsible for driving purchasing, inventory planning, and forecasting for multiple countries through Direct Import Supply Chains, leading a team of high-performing individuals.
This person will be responsible for developing and leading a high-performing function in supply chain (forecasting, replenishment, inventory management, customer availability), helping drive innovation growth, facilitating positive relationships internally with peers and Amazon’s global technical teams, and supporting the Emerging Country leadership team. This role will have significant responsibility as it will lead a centralized instock team covering DI for all of Amazon Retail categories across multiple countries.
The ideal candidate will excel in scalable process improvement, analytics, and written/verbal communication while being Customer Obsessed. The candidate will have proven experience delivering results by partnering with other teams and be comfortable leading and contributing across a range of topics outside of the core Manager of Instock responsibilities.
The successful candidate is an innovator, communicator, influencer, and problem solver who works well in a fast-paced, ambiguous setting. This candidate demonstrates a strong technical skillset, taking a data-driven approach to solve complex problems across our Imports supply chain. The position provides opportunities to influence high visibility/impact areas throughout the organization.
The successful candidate possesses superb business judgment, with a track record of strong project delivery and relationship management, deep analytical acumen, with experience generating and managing forecasts, reports, and analyses. The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a fast-paced, highly demanding, and often ambiguous environment. Since this position involves working with multiple stakeholders around the world, we need someone with strong stakeholder management capabilities with a bias for action in getting things done.
