Position Title: Manager, Contract and Supplier Governance

Avasant is seeking a Manager to work in the sourcing function for a Fortune 100 company (that is currently spinning out a division), assist in managing IT software and service provider contract relationships for BAU activities (e.g., renewals), and separation negotiations.
Educational, Experience & Other Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise IT and/or software negotiations (SaaS, off-the-shelf, ERP, modern systems). Example of vendors: Broadcom, Microfocus, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Atlassian, FIS, SAP, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, AT&T, IBM, Tech Mahindra
- Ability to read and interpret contract clauses (e.g., assignment, divestiture use rights, termination, license scope)
- Fluency with divestment concepts (separation management office, TSA, novation)
- MBA or LLB desirable.
- Well-organized, high-energy, well-spoken, numerate, confident
- Must be okay with standing meetings at 8am ET daily. Role does not run into evening hours, has a reliable stopping time around 5.30pm ET.
- Second languages (especially Brazilian, Italian, and Spanish) a plus.
Responsibilities
- Digging through internal systems and online storage locations to gather complete pictures of supplier relationships in terms of agreements, amendments, orders, and spend over time
- Interpreting / analyzing software licenses and service agreements, plus their associated SOWs, quotes, and purchase orders, working without benefit of legal or financial support resources.
- Advising internal IT executive stakeholders on "the sourcing perspective" for their planned changes and projects
- Drawing internal requirements, timelines, and budgets from internal stakeholders to plan negotiations, then drumming up consensus for those negotiation plans
- Executing negotiations plans with external vendor teams, leading compromise formation and driving to agreed outcomes
- Presenting on negotiation progress and outcomes to CxO-level stakeholders, building support for approval and execution of contracts
- Documenting progress into daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including end-of-negotiations wrap-up documentation
- Organizing, cataloging, documenting information, and creating processes and structures to increase the team’s overall capability and efficiency over time
- Supervising, coaching, and managing fellow teammates as they deliver in subordinate and parallel roles
