About this Position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the plant, ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained to achieve high efficiency and minimize downtime. This role involves managing the maintenance team, developing and executing preventive and corrective maintenance plans, and optimizing operational performance in a safe and cost-effective manner.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and systems. Plan, schedule, and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to avoid operational interruptions.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the maintenance team to ensure high levels of performance. Supervise maintenance staff, assign tasks, and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Manage the maintenance department’s budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions. Analyze cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, better resource allocation, or equipment optimization.
  • Oversee the troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of critical plant equipment. Monitor and improve machine reliability and uptime.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations. Foster a culture of safety by implementing best practices and conducting regular safety audits.
  • Identify and implement improvements in maintenance processes to increase equipment reliability, extend asset life, and reduce downtime. Use predictive maintenance technologies where applicable.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers for spare parts, service contracts, and equipment procurement. Negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and machine performance reports. Prepare and present regular maintenance reports to senior management.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Proven track record in leading maintenance teams and managing operational budgets.
  • Experience with plant maintenance systems (CMMS) and knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery, electrical, HVAC, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and tools.
  • Experience in using maintenance management software (SAP).
  • Understanding of industrial safety standards and regulations (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
  • Advanced English.
