Objective of the Role:
The Luxury Travel Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the luxury travel sales strategy at Viajes Palacio, working closely with both the internal Viajes sales team and Independent Contractors (ICs). This role also collaborates with the Marketing team to coordinate communication and create all necessary materials to promote luxury travel products to our clients and cardholders.
The Luxury Travel Sales Manager must define and develop the value proposition for luxury clients, ensuring that the company has the right suppliers to provide premium travel products and services. Additionally, this role oversees the creation of tailored, curated itineraries and strengthens relationships with existing clients to promote the luxury travel division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the portfolio of suppliers required to offer luxury travel products and services. Establish strong relationships with luxury travel suppliers to build a broad and competitive product portfolio.
- Coordinate necessary training for travel advisors assigned to this segment, covering product knowledge, sales techniques, geography, and more to ensure excellent service to luxury clients.
- Monitor the creation of customized travel itineraries by the sales team to ensure top-tier experiences for clients.
- Achieve luxury travel sales targets and position Viajes Palacio as a recognized luxury travel agency in the Mexican market.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Luxury Travel Product & Service Sales: Achieve the revenue target set for the sales team, ensuring alignment with budgeted projections.
- Acquisition & Conversion of High-Spender Clients: Increase the number of new clients, both general and cardholders, who purchase luxury travel experiences.
- Luxury Supplier Portfolio Growth: Expand the portfolio of luxury travel suppliers.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, International Relations, or related fields.
- A master’s degree is desirable.
Languages:
- Advanced proficiency in English required.
- Desirable: French, Portuguese, or German.
Certifications and Specialized Knowledge:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills, particularly with high-profile clients.
- Deep knowledge of luxury travel, including itinerary customization.
- Passion for travel with extensive personal travel experience.
- Expertise in negotiating with luxury travel service providers.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as a Luxury Travel Sales Manager.
- Proven experience in designing customized travel itineraries for high-profile clients.
