Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

This paralegal role will provide administrative and legal support to the employee benefits and executive compensation counsel at PepsiCo.

Your Impact:

As Legal Assistant your functions would consist of:

  1. Organize and maintain complete copies of plan documents, amendments and related materials on electronic management systems.
  2. Respond to subpoenas, participant document requests and qualified domestic relations orders (QDRO), including review and follow-up to confirm appropriate information has been provided.
  3. Research historical plan documents and participant information to determine appropriate benefits as part of benefit claim review process.
  4. Partner with attorneys and third-party plan administrators on litigation matters.
  5. Gather information for annual benefit plan audits.
  6. Assist with benefit plan governance matters, including drafting and review of internal administrative and investment committee minutes and materials.
  7. Support regulatory filings for certain US agencies.
  8. Work closely with other internal functions including Total Rewards, Treasury, Tax and Control.
  9. Other duties as assigned, e.g., drafting compensation and benefit plan communications, benchmarking compensation committee governance trends, special projects.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Education:

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

3-5 years legal assistant experience.

Willingness to learn requirements for US-based regulatory agencies.

Advanced English (Written and verbal communication skills).

Experience working in a corporation or a law, accounting, or consulting firm desirable.

Availability to travel to USA (not often).

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Tolerant.
