We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Applications Engineer with a background in Chemical Engineering and a strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles aligned with ISO 9001. This role will support the development, testing, and optimization of laboratory applications, while ensuring all procedures and outcomes comply with established quality standards.

Lo que hará

1. Standardize and develop new test methods leveraging a wide range of analytical test methods (destructive/non-destructive testing).
2. Leverage customer feedback to drive optimization in customer service and testing processes.
3. Track and manage test reports in the LIM system leveraging electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN).
4. Provide peer review on ELN test data and LIM data entry for colleagues.
5. Participate in test standard validations, training others (e.g. lab personnel, marketing, sales) and internal presentations.
6. Apply consultative skills when interacting with customers to build trust and transparency in managing their incidents.
7. Participate in customer presentations and consult them on best-practices applied in the respective field.
8. Communicate with and consult AE field roles, KAMs, project teams and customers.
9. Lead internal and external technical requests and projects.
10. Ensure laboratory and application equipment are calibrated and safety checked in compliance with local regulations.
11. Support and ensure completion of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plan on customer and overall product performance complaints.
12. Participate and lead in different quality tests such as (Corrosion analysis by NSS according to ASTM B117, degree of rusting ASTM D610, degree of blistering in paints ASTM D714 and Evaluation of painted surfaces on corrosion environments ASTM D1654).
13. Ensure all lab activities adhere to ISO 9001 quality management standards.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
2. Experience in a laboratory setting with emphasis on Quality Assurance.
3. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and documentation requirements.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with laboratory software is a plus.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
