IT Communications Specialist

Thales is looking for an IT Communications Specialist who is responsible to maximize the value of the product resulting from the team. This role provides the best items for the team to deliver high quality items. He serves as an interface between technical team and the customers.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. As an IS-IT Product Ownership Role within Thales, you will:

2. Define and own the product vision:

3. Engage customers/end-users and understand their needs

4. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of field and keep proximity to customer needs

5. Communicate the vision of the product and define squad's goals

6. Facilitate internal and external Customer demos with the team members for direct feedback

7. Ensure squad success:

8. Write and review User Stories, including Acceptance Criteria

9. Accept and reject User Stories using the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria

10. Prioritize product backlog items and maintain an updated backlog for the Squad

11. Co-carry out market research and collect necessary data through studies, surveys, alpha/beta programs and onboard metrics to objectively analyze and identify user needs

12. Remain available for the Squad throughout the sprint

13. Interface with Group Functions and key stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

1. You graduated with a Master of Engineering or Computer Science or in University, and you have significant experience in your field of expertise

2. You have previous experience in project and/or product management (ideally as a Product Owner)

3. You have already worked within an Agile team

4. You have a great understanding of customer needs

5. You are recognized as a team-player and enjoy collaborative work

6. You are a listener and an effective communicator

7. You are a storyteller

8. You are autonomous and know how to get your ideas adopted to improve your team's practices

9. You are open-minded and love to receive feedback from all stakeholders

10. You have an Agile culture and know Agile frameworks, Scrum, Kanban, Lean (mastery of Jira, Rally or Redmine type tool)

11. You know how to develop a product vision based on your understanding of your field and customer needs

12. You have knowledge of software development

13. You have the ability to prioritize backlog according to their value

14. You know how to focus on customers and delivery by bringing quick results to users

15. You share regularly within communities your Product Owner’s practices and learnings
