Job Description:
We are searching for the best talent for EH&S ENGINEER II to be in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
You will be responsible for:
- Perform or supervise activities such as supervising construction activities.
- Development safety training and risk assessment in the areas of construction projects.
- Participate in the OneCSS requirements and support all related activities.
- Release the permit to work for all contractors.
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Create the Specific General Construction Safety Plan for each project.
- Ensure contractors are implementing J&J and Contractors Construction Safety Plan.
- Monitor leading and lagging indicators and escalations.
- Assure contractor safety performance.
- Supervise and make agreements on corrective actions with contractors.
- Understand the General Construction Safety Plan.
- Liaison with Safety DRI during the construction works.
Requirements:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Science or equivalent is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in identifying, evaluating, and controlling EHS risks in the workplace.
- Knowledge of machine, electrical safety, and contractor EHS, including machine guarding and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LO/TO) programs.
- Technical/working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills, with the ability to lead projects and produce and maintain project schedules.
Preferred:
- Experience with Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, Radiation, Powered Industrial Vehicles, Lone Worker Programs and Transportation Safety.
- EHS auditing experience.
- Technical experience in diverse EHS areas including but not limited to machine safety design, contractor EHS, electrical safety, chemical handling, and environmental management.
