Influencer Marketing Account Supervisor

Edelman, now hiring:

Influencer Account Supervisor.

The Influencer Account Supervisor will contribute to daily account work by managing large projects and contributing to regional projects as directed by the Area VP. S/he may supervise account work done by more staff. S/he will learn Edelman’s various Communications Marketing processes/approaches, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, social media campaigns and stakeholder mapping exercises and support account teams in the execution of these processes for clients.

Qualifications

1. At least 3 years of relevant experience in Influencer Marketing, Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing.
2. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
3. Intricate level of understanding of the account(s), the clients’ businesses, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, opposition, etc.
4. Solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals.
5. Strong research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts/relationships.
6. Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies.

Responsibilities and Expectations

1. Demonstrates a deep knowledge of integrated Communications Marketing principles and strategies (Influencer Marketing).
2. Demonstrates understanding of key client information including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors.
3. Demonstrates understanding of and implements public engagement and social media programs.
4. Manages media relations by identifying and working with target media and demonstrating a network of traditional and online media contacts and influencers.
5. Writes press materials and internal communications.
6. Edits and proofreads written materials for quality and adherence to appropriate writing style.
7. Develops client interaction skills.
8. Implements traditional and online research techniques.
9. Demonstrates understanding of how to use and apply basic social media tools to client objectives, including blogs, Twitter, RSS feeds, microblogging, social networks, etc.
10. Participates and assists in program brainstorming, development and planning.
11. Manages projects using organizational skills, working with colleagues, vendors and support agencies and keeping project leaders apprised of status.
12. Provides account administration including meeting deadlines, troubleshooting problems, attending client meetings and conference calls and reporting activity and coverage.
13. Coordinates Communications Marketing tactics by managing workflow, logistics and interaction with media and influencers.
14. Demonstrates understanding of project budget parameters, pricing structures and overservice.
15. Records and submits time, expenses and POs to the right project codes on a timely basis.
16. Manages third-party vendors.
17. Follows all Edelman financial policies and procedures.
18. Participates in the new business process, including lead identification, research, audits, preparation of proposals and support for new business pitches.
19. Manages and delegates to assistant account executives and interns, including setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing needed resources, monitoring progress and providing feedback.
20. Contributes to performance appraisal process for peers, managers and junior staff.
21. Learns about Edelman’s various capabilities and contributes ideas about how to improve, develop and implement new capabilities.
22. Stays up to date with emerging technologies and trends and demonstrates understanding of how they integrate into communications programs.
23. Commits to continuous learning to improve tactical skills by attending Edelman Learning Institute classes and seeking other training, including on-the-job training and mentoring.
24. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
