Job Description

Represents purchasing activities on program team and vice-versa. Build and lead an effective team of Project Purchasing buyers, project Purchasing planner, and Launch Leader. Partner with Program Managers to represent purchasing and communicate program requirements/vehicle line overview.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ability to work effectively cross-functionally, both internally and externally and build relationships.
  2. Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.).
  3. Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance.
  4. Proven competence in negotiating skills.
  5. Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED CRITICAL SKILLS:

  1. Automotive industry experience.
  2. Knowledge of procurement software.
  3. Knowledge of materials management.
  4. Capable of interpreting market data.
  5. Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents.
  6. Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes.

Key Requirements:

  1. Engineering or Business Degree.
  2. Spoken English.
  3. MS Office knowledge.
  4. Autocad.
  5. Desirable SAP.
  6. Experience handling commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance.
  7. Previous experience in the automotive industry.
  8. MRO.
  9. M-F 07:00-17:00.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse management.
  2. Supervise a group of hourly people.
  3. Coordinate shared spare process.
  4. Accomplish GMS for warehouse.
