Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager

Reports To: Director of Talent Acquisition

Location: Queretaro, MX

Environment: Onsite (some remote flexibility over time)

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

As a Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager within Redwood Logistics, you will play a critical role in driving the recruitment strategy for our Queretaro office while overseeing essential HR functions, employee onboarding, and office management.

This hybrid role calls for a strategic, adaptable thinker who can support our growth objectives in Queretaro.

As a key member of the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources team, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, optimize employee onboarding, and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.

How You Make a Difference Everyday:

As we expand our presence in Queretaro, you will play a pivotal role as a subject matter expert in both Talent Acquisition and Human Resources. Collaborating with business leaders across departments, you will support our growth objectives, spearhead the development of the office, champion our company culture, and create a welcoming environment for new employees in Queretaro.

Talent Acquisition (~60-70%)

  1. Design a targeted talent acquisition strategy to support the growth of the Queretaro location, ensuring the attraction of high-quality candidates to meet Redwood’s business needs.
  2. Serve as the go-to expert on Mexico’s labor market, providing insights and educating teams on market trends as needed.
  3. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role-specific requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and maintain a consistent recruitment cadence from job posting to candidate selection.
  4. Act as the primary candidate liaison, guiding prospective talent through the interview process while highlighting Redwood’s history, mission, and core values.
  5. Conduct and facilitate interviews, leveraging best practices to ensure a fair and consistent selection process.
  6. Maintain accurate records by updating applicant tracking systems (ATS) and relevant recruitment reports.
  7. Adhere to company procedures for interviews, offer management, and onboarding to ensure a smooth and compliant hiring process.
  8. Collaborate with local office leaders to align workforce plans and staffing strategies, factoring in headcount needs, promotions, and internal mobility opportunities.

Human Resources (~20-30%)

  1. Collaborate with the Sr. HRBP in Monterrey to support new employee onboarding, recommend periodic enhancements to improve the onboarding experience, and organize and maintain new hire documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures and federal regulations.
  2. Function as the main HR point of contact for local office employees, managing HR-related inquiries and concerns, and collaborating with the wider HR team as needed.
  3. Ensure the confidentiality of all corporate, employee, and HR-related information, safeguarding sensitive data in compliance with company policies.
  4. Fundamental understanding of key employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them in practice to maintain a fair and consistent employee experience.
  5. Investigate employee relations matters and collaborate with the Senior HRBP in Monterrey and/or HR leadership to address issues within the assigned business or local office.
  6. Manage employee recognition programs, including organizing service award events and implementing initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement.
  7. Promote and support HR programs such as Employee Resources Groups, DEI initiatives, Training and Development and more.

Office Management (~10%)

  1. Oversee office inventory, ensuring employees have access to necessary office supplies and cleaning vendors have the required cleaning materials.
  2. Facilitate support for onsite guests, including candidates for interviews, by connecting them with the appropriate team members.
  3. Coordinate on-site employee engagement activities, such as morale-boosting events, holiday celebrations, and other team-building initiatives in partnership with branch leadership.
  4. Escalate employee concerns or complaints in alignment with Redwood’s HR policies and procedures to ensure prompt and appropriate resolution.

You’ve Got This?

  1. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish; proficient level for verbal and written communication.
  2. 5+ years of experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  3. 2+ years of experience in human resources.
  4. Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes for various roles and levels.
  5. Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and industry best practices.
  6. Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS tools.
  7. Experience with employer branding and social media recruitment strategies.
  8. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  11. Adaptable and able to pivot in response to changing priorities.
  12. High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a passion for people development.
  13. Data-driven approach to recruitment and HR decision-making.
  14. Demonstrates strong initiative and the ability to work independently, taking proactive steps to address challenges and drive results.
  15. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
