Purpose of the Function:

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily Second shift functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations. Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws.

Assist in the corresponding Operation, advising, managing and executing actions/initiatives aimed at the Company's objectives through Human Resources.

Responsible for monitoring and compliance with external suppliers such as Cafeteria and Transportation.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Act in support of the Human Resources department through initiatives for the administration of human resources, based on legal compliance.
  2. Interact and maintain good communication with delegates, employees and supervisors.
  3. Based on the department's metrics, provide an action plan to ensure compliance with the Department's goals and objectives and/or to improve results.
  4. Implement action plans to control and reduce absenteeism and turnover rates.
  5. Manage and ensure compliance with ethical conduct and the Employee Code of Conduct.
  6. Support and coordinate the Employee Activities Committee.
  7. Responsible for monitoring and compliance with external suppliers and concessionaires when applicable.
  8. Implement processes to ensure that the integrity of personnel data is maintained within the local and Global HRIS system.
  9. Responsible for the immigration procedures of foreign personnel and updating the employer’s registration certificate.
  10. Administration of major medical expenses.
  11. Personnel transportation administration.
  12. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy, following the procedures and work instructions applicable to his/her activities for the participation in the established Objectives and Goals.
  13. Knowledge and understanding in Environmental & Quality Management Systems in their current versions (e.g. ISO 14001, 9001).
  14. Follow up on the legal requirements listed in the FMI-122 Compliance Check-List.
  15. Provide support in the coordination of plant events and communication meetings.
  16. Coordinate Global Surveys activities.
Competences / abilities:

  1. Graduate in Industrial Relations, Psychology and/or Business Administration preferably.
  2. +5 years of experience in Human Resources and at least 2 in a supervisor or HR Generalist position preferably.
  3. Experience preferably in manufacturing or maquiladora industry.
  4. Experience in similar environments.
  5. Working knowledge of labor laws.
  6. Knowledge of Human Resources Programs.
  7. Knowledge and management of the Tress and Workday system.
  8. Ability to adapt to multiple tasks and adapt to daily changes.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Effectively manage all levels of the Organization.
  11. High focus on teamwork with the ability to work comfortably with people of diverse skills, responsibilities and personalities.
  12. High level of Professional integrity with the ability to auto initiate and maintain confidential information.
  13. Meticulous attention to detail and desire to improve processes.
  14. Must have high level of energy, enthusiasm, creativity.
  15. Ability to work in team.
  16. Problem solving and great attention to customer service.
  17. ISO 9001 & 14001.
  18. Bilingual English/Spanish preferable.
This role will be based to support second shift at Spellman de Mexico from 17:11 - 2:05 from Monday to Friday.
