Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is to align human resources strategies and practices with the overall business goals and objectives. The HRBP will act as a strategic advisor, consultant, and coach to management and employees within their designated business units/areas. They will be responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Encompass HR processes and provide HR guidelines to internal clients aligned to plant staff structure.
  2. Manage the end-to-end process for new salaried employees.
  3. Provide compensation and benefits and organizational design structure guidelines to assigned internal clients.
  4. Provide labor relations guidelines and monitor labor relations frameworks to assure a standardized environment.
  5. Oversee the hourly hiring process.
  6. Analyze trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions, programs, and policies.
  7. Implement and manage risk management policies and procedures to create a safe and compliant work environment.
  8. Support and lead HR initiatives, projects, and programs aligned with organizational goals, ensuring effective communication and implementation.
  9. Deliver high-quality HR services within the corporate framework and implement strategic HR programs and initiatives.
  10. Collaborate with leaders and managers to develop and execute talent management strategies, including recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
  11. Partner with clients for proper management of employee performance (performance evaluation, feedback, and development plans).
  12. Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, conducting diversity analysis, and implementing initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.
  13. Ensure compliance with legal documentation pertaining to employees, such as contracts and termination documents.
  14. Support organizational change management, ensuring effective communication and change implementation, and support employees in adapting to new policies and practices.

Experiences/Education - Required

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration or related discipline.
  2. English proficiency (intermediate to advanced).
  3. Master’s degree in a related area and/or HR certification (preferred).
  4. +2 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist combined).
  5. Experience supporting multiple client groups and/or supporting matrix organizations.
  6. Experience administering HR policies, programs, and practices.
  7. Experience facilitating training sessions.
  8. Labor relations knowledge (preferred).
  9. Data Analytics.
  10. AI tools knowledge.
