The Role: As the Head of US Sales (B&M), you will be responsible for driving Birdman’s retail expansion in the United States, overseeing relationships with major retail partners such as Costco, Walmart, and GNC. You will report directly to the Sales Director (B&M) and be tasked with creating and executing strategies to maximize retail presence and sales performance. Your role will be critical in expanding Birdman’s footprint in the US retail landscape, ensuring profitable growth, and establishing the brand as a leader in the natural products sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive Birdman’s growth in the US retail market, specifically within brick-and-mortar stores. Set targets and establish initiatives to meet and exceed those targets.
Account Management: Manage relationships with key retail partners, including Costco, Walmart, and GNC, to maximize shelf space, drive product launches, and secure new distribution channels.
Sales Operations & Reporting: Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including forecasting, inventory management, and sales reporting. Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance and growth opportunities.
Retail Promotions: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies that boost brand visibility and drive sales in retail stores.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a growing sales team in the US, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Engagement: Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and business intelligence teams to ensure smooth product distribution and alignment with broader business objectives.
Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity, leveraging insights to drive competitive advantage for Birdman in the US.
Requirements
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in sales management within the US retail market, preferably in the natural products or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
Proven track record of managing relationships with major US retailers such as Costco, Walmart, GNC, or similar. Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and Power Query.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Ability to drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performance sales teams.

Passion for natural products, health, and sustainability.
