Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Salary/Wage: $75k - $80k USD anualmente.

Position Overview

To oversee every function of the Food & Beverage department and kitchen; purchasing, production, presentation, and quality of food; hiring, training and development of associates; financial status, food cost, labor cost; and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities

1. Meets and exceeds Guest and team member expectation by providing exceptional service and teamwork by:
1. Providing value added service to Guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed Guest expectations.
2. Communicating effectively with Guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
3. Demonstrating teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
4. Handling difficult situations effectively.
5. To adhere to the spirit of hospitality by assisting or accommodating our Guests' requests. Offer alternatives instead of saying No.
6. To practice the 10/5 Rule! In all Guest contact interactions: within 10 feet of the Guest, make eye contact, smile and within 5 feet, give a hospitality welcome: hello, thank you for staying with us, etc.
7. Personally introduces himself/herself to the Guests in order to obtain feedback regarding the Hotel and provide a hospitable atmosphere.
2. Demonstrates leadership in organizing the department by:
1. Supervising entire kitchen staff, including the associate cafeteria, utility and receiving associates. Providing supervisory guidance, aid, and council for all Food & Beverage and kitchen associates.
2. Schedules, evaluates, and directs all associates.
3. Taking immediate action on problems that are encountered in the department and kitchen.
4. Providing associates with the tools and equipment they need to do their job.
5. Ensuring payroll hours are submitted to the accounting department on a timely basis.
6. Submitting banquet summary sheets to the accounting department on a timely basis.
7. Assuring that a sufficient supply of necessary service equipment is available and maintained at all times.
8. Ensuring proper staffing of the entire department and kitchen for adequate coverage while man hours are not wasted.

Qualifications

1. Proven record of independent, self-motivated work habits required.
2. Effective time management principles and organizational skills.
3. Experience in handling maintenance and cleaning equipment.
4. High standards of cleanliness.
5. High energy level of stamina.
6. Ability to order cleaning products and take responsibility for the costs.
7. Pleasant, outgoing, flexible, creative, team player, and able to work independently.
8. Service oriented.
9. Experience in hotel or related preferred.

Housing Type

Property is discussing options of how long they can temporarily house candidates while they secure their own housing. This will be on a case by case basis.
