Team Overview

The Financial Planning and Analysis Team plays a critical role in DiDi’s strategic decision-making by providing management information and insights via analysis on financial and operational performance in the Spanish-speaking LATAM (SSL) region. Working closely with a broader financial team, FP&A helps shape the company’s resource allocation and strategic direction by providing deep analysis and advice on current and forecasted results within the region.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support consolidation of financial results from the countries managed in the region, working with the broader Finance team to analyze key variances and trends, delivering actionable insights for the SSL Management team.
  • Collaborate with local Business Intelligence and HQ teams to further align data sources used across Finance, S&P, and Operations teams to improve financial performance tracking.
  • Conduct macroeconomic, political, and financial analysis to assess risks in the managed countries and support developing strategies to mitigate them or capitalize on new opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze the P&L statement in detail, identifying key opportunities for cost reduction without compromising user experience, business performance or strategic goals.
  • Actively participate in strategy meetings, providing data-driven insights based on the historical and current financial performance of the region to help guide the company’s directional strategy.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Engineering.
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, with an emphasis on operational and business performance analysis.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets. Experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting; Python knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficient English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with international stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a high-performing team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering accurate data, actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.
