Financial Manager

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to support the US Wholesale business, including monthly financial close process, reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting. This position will work closely with members of the finance and accounting teams as well as cross-functional business partners (Sales, Planning, Merchandising). This candidate must be an ambitious self-starter who can manage, track, analyze large sets of data, manage customer sales allowance budget, ensure forecast accuracy and completeness, as well as coordinate and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monthly/Quarterly financial close process, financial forecast, and Annual Financial Plan in alignment with key functional team members and business partners.
2. Ensure accurate financial reporting and manage against targets including month/quarter end close activities and variance analysis.
3. Partner with sales and planning teams to manage sales dilution programs.
4. Drive and verify approval request process for pricing, invoice discounts, and various dilution programs.
5. Strong collaboration with business partners to monitor results and provide data and analysis with a focus on key financial metrics.
6. Provide decision support to US Wholesale business partners. Apply business knowledge to ad hoc analysis to help drive/influence business decisions.
7. Manager responsibilities as it relates to local financial analyst(s).

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree required, Finance or Accounting major preferred.
2. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, commercial banking, or investment banking.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, budget management, and development of controls and procedures.
4. US GAAP accounting knowledge, and proficiency in Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate financial results & issues to senior management and non-financial audiences.
6. Strong analytical and process development skills with the ability to provide actionable recommendations.
7. Strong organizational skills: high attention to detail, consistent follow-through.
8. Strong team player and the ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment while developing effective relationships and achieving results.
9. Thrives in a fast-paced environment; ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
10. Ability to influence others in a productive manner to improve business processes and results.
11. Strong MS Office and Excel skills; experience with Hyperion Essbase and SAP, a plus.
12. Language requirement: English.
13. This position is required to work US Pacific Time hours.
14. Retail/apparel industry experience, a plus.
