Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Facilities Manager in our ASCO Queretaro Plant location. This is an opportunity to join a manufacturing site that strives to be on the leading edge of technology to drive continuous improvement.

Mission

  • Supervise and, or coordinate the complete scope of the Facilities sub-functions (car service, catering, security, energy management, etc).
  • Organize/manage the Facility function within a given entity.
  • Advise management regarding Facility matters.
  • Manage real estate portfolio and its associated projects.
  • Those codes are dedicated for roles who spend more than 50% of their time in people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy Facility Management policy in the unit, Launch accordingly project or continuous improvement process in Facility Management field.

Main Activity

  • Make survey of the regulation evolution, evaluate the compliance of the site and propose related action plans.
  • Alert and Support in case of emergency (breakdown…)
  • Ensure technical specification are appropriate to the usage, audit Facility Management process.
  • Do the Energy review.
  • Follow up analyze daily Facility Management parameters through monitoring system to optimize operational cost.
  • Apply energy performance and decarbonization program according to SERE manager guidelines.
  • Analyze and optimize Facility Management cost and propose targets and action plans.
  • Propose Quarterly forecast review for FM cost & 5 years capex related to Facility Management.
  • Follow up and support regulatory audit linked to Facility Management (fire prevention, lift…).
  • Ensure coordination with external suppliers & internal team (S & E; industrialization…).
  • Pilot some action plan to improve Facility Management operation (maintenance, energy efficiency, EE, HVAC parameter).
  • Schedules, supervises and assists employees and outside contractors in performance of all aspects of the facility maintenance.
  • Ensures facility and equipment compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Schedules and supervises all in-house functions required to maintain the physical facility, grounds, and equipment.
  • Contracts, directs and supervises outside contractors in performance of maintenance of physical facility, grounds and equipment. Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal codes/regulations as applicable to the physical facility, equipment and their maintenance.
  • Plans, selects and installs physical facilities, equipment and grounds improvement. Provides long range planning for budgets, controls and manages capital / expenditure / utilities for the facilities.
  • Provides regularly scheduled training to selected personnel in the areas of environmental and security.
  • Directs preventative maintenance programs for the facility, facility support equipment, grounds and production systems.
  • Responsible for Energy program implementation and supervision giving support to Energy Initiatives and coordinating ISO 50,001 & Electrification programs.
  • Overseeing the construction project from start to finish, including organizing work schedules, budgets, and costings, maintaining regular communication with clients, partners, and other stakeholders, and attending meetings to inform them of progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities management and project management.
  • Must have experience in energy savings, construction, building automation systems, security, HVAC, lighting systems, enterprise wide asset management.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt skills preferred.
  • Advanced English Level.
  • Ramp up and construction experience desired.
  • Candidate must be an effective communicator who is self motivated and drives team work.
  • Must be willing to relocate for future growth and development purposes.
  • Need to have a deep understanding of the building process, excellent communication and leadership skills, and attention to detail.
