Exadata Database & Cloud Test Developer

Design, implement, and manage test applications for Exadata infrastructure technologies and multi-cloud database services across Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and other multiple cloud vendor platforms.

Responsibilities:

1. Create internal applications/solutions to improve development productivity.
2. Design and implement Multicloud solutions that leverage existing Exadata capabilities for multiple cloud vendors, including Azure, GCP, and AWS.
3. Manage the complexity of a multi-cloud architecture.
4. Collaborate with internal and external partners to build new services and work closely with support teams for migrating services, lift & shift, re-architecting, and redesigning infrastructure solutions for OnPrem and other clouds.
5. Help ensure the cloud network architectures being developed optimize performance and security while being cost-effective.
6. Reduce manual overhead with proficiency in automation and scripting languages to help automate cloud deployments.
7. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the cloud environment.
8. Convert the technical requirements of projects to achievable deliveries.
9. Ensure cloud solutions and operations are reliable.
10. Stay abreast of new technologies and trends in cloud computing.
11. Provide technical leadership, sharing expertise in cloud services, while gathering requirements from stakeholders and applying best practices and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications:

1. Strong understanding of database technologies and cloud networking, along with troubleshooting experience using development automation tools for CICD, Terraform, Docker, GitHub, Jira, Swagger, TeamCity, etc.
2. 2+ years of core experience developing solutions for any cloud platform.
3. Good to have exposure to cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP and cloud-based tools.
4. Good knowledge of Java, Python, Shell, Oracle database, Storage, and Linux fundamentals.
5. Knowledge of network fundamentals such as VCN, Ethernet, RoCE, TCP/IP, routing, DHCP, etc.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
