Environmental Engineer

Administer Management systems, programs, processes and training related to Safety, Occupational Health and Environment, Patrimonial Security, and continuity of operations in coordination with supervisors, contractors, visitors and collaborators in general to guarantee compliance with requirements of the systems, legal requirements and those of BorgWarner.

• Ensure compliance with planned safety, health and environmental objectives.
• Management of externally contracted processes, services and activities.
• Develop procedures involving BorgWarner personnel and operations to reduce safety, health and environmental incidents and accidents, and minimize occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Promote awareness of Health, Safety and environmental care in the organization through communication, participation in campaigns and employees training, suppliers, contractors and visitors.
• Determine the context, needs and expectative of the organization's stakeholders in environmental matters and occupational health and safety.
• Manage hazards, risks and opportunities and environmental aspects and impacts in terms of safety and the environment.
• Determine the collaborators training needs to strengthen safety, health and environmental concepts based on the requirements of management system, legal and others.
• Ensure that management systems meet or exceed the requirements of government entities such as STPS, Civil Protection, Ecology, SEMARNAT, etc.
• Attend visits and inspections by government entities regarding Safety, Health, and the Environment.
• Lead the GEMBA team in safety and environmental walks risk analysis, ergonomics, minimization of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ISO 14001 environmental management system and 45001 occupational health and safety system, employee participation and awareness.
• Lead the multifunctional team in the incident’s investigation, safety and environmental accidents root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage compliance with the organization's Policy in terms of Safety, Health, and Environment.
