Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products. We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world. Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of applications from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Our customers include food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers. While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world’s best-known companies.

Summary:

  • As the EMS Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing Environmental Management Systems (EMS) under the ISO14001 standard in both Monterrey and Atitalaquia manufacturing sites. The position supports environmental management in ensuring compliance with local regulations, the site’s environmental policy, and global requirements.
  • Coordinates the site's legal review to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and implements the required Action Plan.
  • Implements the site's ISO 14001 certification process.
  • Consolidates, tracks, and reports on environmental metrics and incidents using the tools and platforms provided by the Global Team.
  • Lead efforts to improve environmental metrics.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering is required, but chemical or industrial engineering is also applicable.
  • Knowledge of the ISO 14001 Standard is a must.
  • Participation in environmental audits under ISO 14001 is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local environmental regulations is desired.
  • Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all departments and all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Fully bilingual.
