Air Bearing Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer must be able to fully comprehend the whole test equipment concept including both HW, SW, and test methods and be motivated to autonomously maintain and continuously improve it. Development and execution of downtime reduction initiatives, and manages contractors, budget, capital and all necessary technologies related to his area. Responsible for providing fast and effective support in troubleshooting downed machines, prioritizing operational continuity and efficiency in a dynamic environment, using his technical knowledge in automation.
Will be responsible to interpret CTQ/KCCs from the documentation, technical challenges of high speed rotating machines, basic unbalance concepts and balancing process, basic principles of hydrostatic and hydrodynamic bearings, instrumentation, DAQ, and controls, to identify and debug any questionable responses or control malfunctions by utilizing FMEA and RCA principles and implement control plans (training available for FMEA, RCA, CP).
