IT Strategic Category Buyer

The IT & telecom hardware and IT consultants Strategic Category Buyer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring hardware solutions as well as specialized consultants that meet the organization's technological and operational needs. You will hold responsibility for all specific categories within the Indirect Purchasing Team. You will negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, SOWs, and commercial requirements that meet internal stakeholders’ objectives and overall category strategy. You will directly interact with your internal stakeholders and with external vendors. You will familiarize yourself with Autoliv’s supply base and work with internal stakeholders and Global Category Management to create and execute Category Strategies.

What you’ll do:

1. Develop category strategies, secure customer alignment, and execution.
2. Develop strong relationships with internal business partners.
3. Drive cost-saving initiatives to align with company goals.
4. Support Global Category Strategies, Management, and key initiatives.
5. Conduct competitive bids.
6. Negotiate and create contracts that reflect the negotiation.

What is required:

1. BS or BA in Purchasing, SCM, Engineering, or another business-related field.
2. 5+ years of IT Purchasing (hardware), Category management, Contract management experience.
3. Proficient in the use of English language at a business level (B2 level or above).
