We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and drive large-scale IT projects with a focus on the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of independently managing complex projects with budgets of $6M and above, ensuring successful delivery through exceptional planning, execution, and stakeholder management. This role requires a deep understanding of project management best practices, financial oversight, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage large-scale IT projects ($6M and above) with minimal guidance from program managers.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
Oversee project financials, including forecasting, planning, estimating, budgeting, funding, and managing project expenses.
Track and report project progress through detailed dashboard presentations, project metrics, trend analysis, and executive-level reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of project objectives.
Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution.
Ensure adherence to full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
Facilitate regular project meetings and provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on IT projects.
Proven experience managing projects of $6M and above in size and high complexity.
Strong proficiency in Planview and the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio).
Expertise in managing project financials, including forecasting, planning, estimating, budgeting, and expense management.
Solid experience in reporting project progress using dashboards, metrics, and executive-level presentations.
In-depth knowledge of project management best practices and EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) structure.
Strong understanding of the insurance industry is mandatory.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-starter with exceptional time management, goal-setting, and task prioritization abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments.
Familiarity with risk management tools and techniques.
