Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Support and work for projects through all project phases (Concept / Development / Implementation).
2. Supporting lifecycle development of the product/product group.
3. Develop and capture knowledge required to deliver subsystem-level excellence through:
1. Design Guides
2. FMEA
3. DVP&R
4. A3's
5. Tolerance Stack Ups
6. Other tools and documents.
4. Supporting Product Specification based on released documentation and validated tests.
5. Support benchmarking activities, experimentation, and data analysis via statistical tools (6 Sigma).
6. Support intellectual property creation: initiating and following up on patent analysis and identifying new ideas for patents.
7. Support CAD model development by submitting simulation requests with clear boundary condition definitions, and interpreting results to make necessary design modifications.
8. Coordinate system integrators and build planners to prototype build plans to evaluate design concepts through physical lab testing.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

1. 1+ years of Engineering & Technical experience in product development or a very similar role.
2. 2+ years experience in the appliance/consumer goods industry or other relevant industry experience.
3. Experience in component/product development lifecycle management.
4. Drawing experience and GD&T (Geometry Dimensioning & Tolerancing) application (tolerance definition and analysis).
5. Experience in component/product development with 3D CAD modeling (Creo 7.0 is preferred).
6. Windchill experience.
7. Background in fundamental physics principles, including understanding of mechanical systems, solid mechanics, material properties, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
8. Knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), 6 SIGMA tools, and Requirements management.
9. Knowledge and working experience in injection molding and sheet metal forming processes.
10. Knowledge in tooling construction.
11. Knowledge in simulation analysis (Finite Element Analysis - Ansys / Moldflow).
12. Analytical skills, experience in solving practical issues, and engaging cross-functional teams of multiple process partners to a consensus.
13. Self-driven and motivated.
