Summary

Yelp is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our People Operations and Services team. We are focused on providing seamless and client-focused transactional support to our employees and internal stakeholders globally. Playing a key tactical role throughout the employee lifecycle from hiring and onboarding to job changes and off-boarding, we deliver on operational excellence while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.

As the People Operations Coordinator, you will interact regularly with other People functions including Recruiting, People Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Development, Payroll and Legal. This position is a great opportunity to execute People Operations processes and services in a global organization.

This is a full-time position located in Mexico.

What you'll do:

  • You will oversee the employee life cycle from new hire to termination including background checks, data entry, and document generation.
  • You will be the first point of contact for employee questions, case management, and will escalate issues to other members of the People Operations team, if appropriate.
  • You will partner closely with other People functions to execute operational processes and services with a focus on employee experience and data integrity.
  • You will leverage People Ops standard operating procedures, resources, and training to ensure data accuracy and quality in our Core HCM, Workday, and our employee ticketing system, Jira.
  • You may participate in system testing tied to new programs, systems or process rollouts.
  • You will support reporting, auditing, and data integrity / reliability initiatives.
  • You will document, maintain and communicate core People Operations processes to stakeholders, managers, and employees.
  • You will identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging systems and tools to automate and eliminate manual work where possible.

What it takes to succeed:

  • You have 3+ years’ experience in HR administration / People operations.
  • You have experience with Workday, JIRA, Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • You are a people-centric professional with excellent attention to detail.
  • You can effectively work synchronously and asynchronously, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • You have high ethical standards with demonstrated experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • You have excellent organizational, multi-tasking, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • You have effective & empathetic oral and written communication skills.
  • You have a client service mindset with the desire to go above and beyond to support the team and organization.
