Overview

We are seeking a talented AWS and DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

1. Work with senior level engineers to support cloud-based application and infrastructure delivery.
2. Configuring, deploying, and monitoring applications on the AWS platform using AWS suite of tools and other compatible & supporting tools.
3. Maintaining access to tools/repository/infrastructure.
4. Support automation processes to move code from commit through build and quality assurance processes to deployment to staging environments and then to production.
5. Managing access to applications/frameworks/tools: AWS, JIRA, Confluence, AD, Figma, Lucidchart, etc.
6. Learn containerization of applications (Docker/ECS), understand best practices, develop reusable base images, and tune applications.
7. Learn about real-time monitoring and alerting of applications deployed in AWS using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Simple Notification Service.
8. Write technical documentation and standard procedures for internal stakeholders and auditors.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
10. Learn to estimate your work as part of SCRUM planning.

Qualifications

1. Associate or bachelor degree in information technology or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
2. Minimum 3 years DevOps experience and exposure to the AWS ecosystem.
3. AWS Cloud exposure (serverless or infrastructure as code are a plus).
4. Good understanding of AWS services EC2, IAM, VPC, S3.
5. Experience with Docker, Git, code deployment.
6. Familiarity with ECS, CloudWatch, CodePipeline, SES, SNS, RDS, Lambda.
7. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and federation services.
8. Python or JavaScript for server apps or serverless apps.
9. Scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, ZSH, Make, etc.).
10. Basic network security concepts.
11. Experience with Linux and Windows server machines.

AWS Certification is preferred:

1. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (this is more basic than the associate certification).
2. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
3. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate.
