Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Objective:

Provides the necessary support to facilitate the manufacture of the product, meeting the design requirements and quality standards and timely deliveries, seeking continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in accordance with the goals and/or objectives. Work closely with other groups to update and improve the standard for manufacturing as applicable. Perform leader activities as backup when required.

Main Task:

1. Responsible for the RCCA to solve problems, including escapements and special investigations.
2. Investigate DI/DR’s, create work plan/BOM/WOA's, and create TMO's.
3. Proficiency in elaborating visual aids and training the trainer.
4. Provide feedback to the “First Article System“.
5. Good understanding of GD&T concepts and application.
6. Apply and implement lean manufacturing tools on continuous improvement projects.
7. Lead and implement safety and ergonomics improvements.
8. Lead high complexity tasks/projects.

Requirements:

1. Professional degree: Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar engineering.
2. 5-6 years of experience.
3. Experience in manufacturing processes and ME planning skills.
4. English spoken and written (85%).
5. Time management and organization skills.
6. Ability to lead people and teams from different areas.
7. Proactive in innovating processes with new technology proposals.
8. Decision-making ability and leadership skills.

Knowledge:

1. Catia V5, SmarTeam, Solumina.
2. MS Office (Excel, Access, Macros, and Visual Basic is a plus).
3. Project Management, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ERP.
4. People skills, teamwork, communication skills, and external negotiations.
5. Availability to travel.
