Your New Role...
The APAC Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager is responsible for supporting the activation of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) efforts to successfully align and deliver the Company’s DEI strategy across multiple business areas, countries and offices in the APAC region.
Reporting to the DEI Director, APAC, this role will engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, to design and assist in delivery of programs that support global and APAC specific diversity activities and goals, with a prime focus on our Japan based business units.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Work with the Regional DEI leader to implement the localized DEI approach for the region in accordance with global strategy.
- Develop strong working relationships, partner, and collaborate with employees across all of APAC. Provide DEI consulting and support services to stakeholder group.
- Support the development and act as a trusted advisor to regional chapters of the WBD Business Resource Groups (BRG) to enable them to operate successfully in alignment with the Company’s DEI strategy.
- Develop and oversee the rollout of activities for the APAC Diversity Calendar including the planning and execution of key regional DEI events across multiple countries (virtual and physical).
- Provide end to end project management support on the activation of various local DEI programmatic efforts identified by both Global and Regional leads.
- Partner with Learning & Development and/or other internal departments to organise, schedule and deliver DEI initiatives to build leadership capability and advance talent within local budgets.
- Collaborate and partner closely with the People and Culture and Talent Acquisitions team to ensure effective DEI practices are embedded into every phase of the talent and development lifecycles.
- Cultivate and manage external DEI partner relationships and memberships, ensuring that we maximise opportunities.
- Proactively provide data-driven insights to identify and prioritise areas of opportunity for targeted interventions across region.
- Develop periodic DEI reports using internal tools, prepare presentations and ensure budget tracker for own stakeholder group is up to date and accurate on a regular basis.
- Support DEI large scale efforts by joining Global and/or International DEI Project groups.
- Supports various administrative duties such as invoice processing for the department.
- Drive, support and review APAC DEI communications by closely partnering with Corporate Communications.
- Partner with People & Culture, CSR and other internal teams on areas with cross interest to ensure alignment.
- Stay informed and provide valuable regional insights on DEI best practice, trends, local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 + years professional work experience in an Asia/APAC DEI role.
- Experience in developing and implementing DEI programs, events and initiatives.
- Experience navigating a cross cultural organisation.
- Experience facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions.
- End to end project management experience.
- Strong and inclusive communication skills with the ability to engage different audiences in a commercial context.
